The 2015 Hurricane Season was the most active hurricane season on record. 34 storms formed in the Atlantic and even the Great Lakes were favorible for development of such storms! The season started early, on May 1st, 2015, the first storm developed and the storms kept forming until November 1st, 2015.

The season started with Tropical Storm Ana forming off the coast of Florida, making landfall in Tampa, Florida as a 60 MPH tropical storm. 5 storms in total formed in May. 3 of those formed in the Great Lakes. In June, 8 storms formed, with 4 of them forming in the Great Lakes. One of theese storms became a Category 6 hurricane, making landfall in Chicago, killing over 1,000 people. In July, 10 storms formed, with 5 of them forming in the Great Lakes region. In August, 5 storms formed, with 2 forming in the Great Lakes. In September, 2 storms formed, with one of them in the Great Lakes. When October Rolls around, 4 storms formed in the Atlantic, with none forming in the Great Lakes.
