Tropical Storm Flynn formed in the North Atlantic Ocean and was the 14th hurricane of the 2023 season which lasted from June 13th to December 23rd. It formed on September 23rd and its status updated to a tropical storm on September 25th. Moving at 20 miles MPH, it made landfall in northern Florida hitting Jacksonville. Tropical Storm Flynn eventually dissipated over the city of Atlanta. Flynn did $24 million in damage and the death toll was 28. 5 of these deaths included an entire family with a new born only 1 week old. Evacuations we're not ordered and when the family died, this caused major controversy. All of the damage was mostly done to Jacksonville and some rural cities in southern Georgia. In Atlanta, there was some mild wind and just a little bit of rain. The outer bands of Flynn created cloudy weather for South Carolina, Alabama, and Tennessee. About 5 inches of rain total was accumulated in Tropical Storm Flynn.
