The 2035 Atlantic hurricane season was very inactive. The season featured no major hurricanes, for the first time since 2026. However, the season began very early, with Subtropical Storm Arlene on March 1. However the season ended early too, as Ivy dissipated on October 11. In total there were 9 named storms, of which 3 intensified into hurricanes and none became major hurricanes. For the first time since 2006, there was a two-way tie for the strongest storm this year, between Category 1 hurricanes Dalton and Ivy.
There were no notable storms this year.
Timeline[]
The season's activity was reflected with an accumulated cyclone energy (ACE) rating of 23, well below the 1981–2010 median of 92, and the lowest value since 1983. Broadly speaking, ACE is a measure of the power of a tropical or subtropical storm multiplied by the length of time it existed. Therefore, a storm with a longer duration, such as Ivy, will have higher values of ACE. It is only calculated for full advisories on specific tropical and subtropical systems reaching or exceeding wind speeds of 39 mph (63 km/h).

Storm Names[]
During the season the following names were used for tropical storms, that formed within the north Atlantic Ocean. This was the same list of names that had been used during the 2029 season except for Dalton, which replaced Don. After the season there were no names retired from this list of names, and it was subsequently reused during the 2041 season.
