The 1999 Atlantic hurricane season is a current event in the annual tropical cyclone season in the northern hemisphere. The season officially began on June 1, 2017, and ended on November 30, 2017. These dates historically describe the period each year when most tropical cyclones form in the Atlantic basin and are adopted by convention. However, the formation of tropical cyclones is possible at any time of the year.

Hypercane Maggie is the 2nd strongest tropical cyclone in the world it also is the 2nd longest lasting tropical cyclone in the world lasting over 14 years after Hypercane Thomas and is yet the 2nd largest tropical cyclone in the world right now its life tropical storm force winds extend to about twice the size of the US and hurricane force extended 1,600 miles from the eyewall at one point in its life it also had maxmium sustained winds of 1,000 mph and a central pressure of 456 mbar it has also made landfall at that size and intensity on August 25, 1999 it caused up to 69 inches of rain to fall over the US causing $10 Trillion Dollars in damage USD but fortunately no one was killed from the storm,since 1999 it has made 116 landfalls and all of them it made landfall with maxmium sustained winds ranging from 500 mph-1,000 mph and ranging from 678 mb to 456 mb Hypercane.It is still active to this day and might last at least another 34 million years or so before dissipating completely though it nearly dissipated 34 times,its still a Hypercane and its been a Hypercane since January 16, 2013 and since 16 days ago it has reached its peak intensity with maxmium sustained winds of 1,000 mph and a minimum central pressure of 444 mbars.
