The 2045 Atlantic hurricane season was a very active hurricane season that featured 12 named storms, 6 hurricanes, and 3 major hurricanes, and was the final season of the annual low-activity era of tropical cyclone formation in the Atlantic basin, which had begun in 2026. It was also the second-costliest tropical cyclone season on record, only behind the 2050 season.
Overall, the season's activity was reflected with a total cumulative accumulated cyclone energy (ACE) rating of 154, which was well above the average, and was the highest value since 2025. ACE is, broadly speaking, a measure of the power of the hurricane multiplied by the length of time it existed, so storms that last a long time, as well as particularly strong hurricanes, have high ACEs.

A few years later, the name Inca was retired due to association with the former colony. It was replaced with Indira for the 2051 season.
