The 2047 Atlantic hurricane season saw near average activity, despite the formation of an El Nino event. There were 14 named storms. 6 of those intensified into hurricanes, and 2 of them went further to become major hurricanes.

Timeline[]

Saffir–Simpson hurricane wind scale

The season's activity was reflected with an accumulated cyclone energy (ACE) rating of 103. ACE is, broadly speaking, a measure of the power of the hurricane multiplied by the length of time it existed, so storms that last a long time, as well as particularly strong hurricanes, have high ACEs.
