The 2013 hurricane season was an above average hurricane season with 21 named storms. It exausted the naming list, but after Wendy there were no more storms

Tropical Storm Andrea[]

Andrea formed east of the Bahamas. 25 hours later Andrea became a tropical storm. Andrea continued west towards the Bahamas. Shortly after making landfall in the Bahamas it dissipated. Andrea is only the 2nd storm to form in March. It did very little damage. 

Hurricane Barry[]

Barry formed south west of Cape Verde.On June 22nd Barry became a tropical storm. It reached category 1 early morning June 24th and by 12:00 It had reached category 2. It slowly began to turn upwards By June 26th it had reached Category 4. It turned to the northeast never making land fall, however there was flooding and semi-heavy rains on the east coast of the U.S, killing 10 people. The damages costed about 20.6 million USD. It's the most intense hurricane in June

Chantal formed south of Puerto Rico. It continued north and becames a Category 1 It made land fall in Puerto Rico. It turned west and made landfall in the Domnican Republic. It dissipated after it made land fall in Cuba. It caused 13 deaths in Hati. Five people have been reported missing. It did about 11 million dollars in damages

Tropical Storm Dorian[]

Dorian formed in the Gulf of Mexico. It headed west making land fall in mexico on July 3. It dissipated the next day close to the U.S. boarder. It caused very little damage.

Hurricane Erin[]

Erin formed west of the Lesser Antilles. It headed north-west towards the Gulf of mexico. The outskirts of the hurricane hit Cuba. Erin made land fall in the U.S. around the border of Texas and Mississppi on the 14. It dissipated two days later. Erin caused 19 deaths and 7 people reported missing. It did about 30 million in damages. Erin is the earliest 5th storm in a season 

Hurricane Fernand[]

 Fernad formed west of Cape Verde. It caused lots of destruction in the Lesser Antilles hitung them as a category 3. It hit Nicaragua as a category 4 and weakened as it went north west in Central America. It caused 13 deaths in the lesser antilles, 18 deaths in Nicaragua,  17 in Honduras, 6 in El Savador, 10 in Guatemala and 2 in Mexico for a total of 66 deaths. The damage costed 1 billion USD. It dissipated after entering Mexico.

Gabrielle formed near Cape Verde. It turned north and dissipated quickly.

Humberto formed south-west of Pueto Rico. It made land fall In Nicaragua and hit Honduras. It caused 7 deaths in Nicaragua and one in Honduras. It worsened the damage form Frenand, about 10 million USD.

 Ingrid fromed in the Gulf of Mexico. It made a Clockwise turn and then dissipated.

Jerry formed in the Gulf of Mexico form the remaines of Ingrid. It made land fall in Mexico and dissipated shortly after. It caused very little damages. Jerry is the earliest 10th storm in a season

Hurricane Karen formed north of Venezuela. It reached category 1 before making landfall in Cuba. It made land fall in Florida 2 days later and then dissipated. There was one death and the damages costed about 5 million dollars. Karen is the earliest 11th storm in a season

Lorenzo formed just east of Yutucan. It made landfall in Yutacan. It dissapated just before reach the other side of Yutacan. It caused very little damage. Lorenzo is the earliest 12th storm in a season

Melissa formed south-east of Pueto Rico. It made land fall in Venezuela as a Category 2. It left Venezuela and weakened into a tropical storm and made land fall in Jamaica and then dissipated. It caused 5 deaths and costed 15 million USD. Melissa is the earliest 13th storm in a season

Nestor formed south of Cape Verde. It turned north and made land fall in Cape Verde as a Tropical storm. It then contined north and made land fall in the Azores. It dissipated shortly after leaving the Azores. It caused very little damage. Nestor is the earliest 14th storm in a season.

Olga formed in the Gulf of Mexico. It made land fall on the border the U.S and Mexico. It dissipated a couple of days after making land fall. Olga is the earliest 15th storm in a season.

Pablo formed in Gulf of Mexico. It turned towards Florida and made land fall there. It dissipated after making land fall for a second time in Georgia. It caused very little damage. Pablo is the earliest 16th storm in a season.

Hurricane Rebekah[]

Rebekah formed south of Cape Verde. It caused massive damages and flooding in the Lesser Antilles. It made land fall in the Domnican Republic causing massive flooding and damage. It also caused flooding the Bahamas. It came very close to the coast of the US. It flooded the east coast and dumped heavy rains on the coast. It dissipated after passing under Newfoundland. It caused 57 deaths in the Lesser Antilles, 60 in the Domnican Republic , 78 in Hati, 29 in the Bahamas, 173 in the U.S and 3 in Canada. The damages costed about 20 billion USD.  It is the earliest 17th storm in a season. It is also the most intense storm of the season

Tropical Storm Sebastien[]

Hurricane Tanya[]

Van formed east of Jamaica. It made land fall in Belize and dissipated two days later. It caused very little damage. Van is the earliest 20th storm in a season.

Tropical Storm Wendy[]

Wendy formed south of Cape Verde. It went north-west and never made land fall. It dissipated after peaking. Wendy breaks the streak of earliest named storms. It was also the last storm of the season.

Retired names[]

The WMO retired the names Rebekah and Fernand. For 2019 Rebekah will be replaced with Rechell, and Fernand will be replaced by Fordon.
