Formed near Mexico and had an unusually curved path. 1 person was dead after a wave washed him away in Mexico City.

125 mph winds and heavy rain flooded Miami and other parts of Florida. Became known as the strongest hurricane and the only in the season.

Moved overland over Latin America into the Pacific Ocean. Dissipated there. No damage or fatalities.
