Atlantic hurricane seasons

The 2052 Atlantic hurricane season was fairly active, but most of the storms were weak or short-lived. 16 named storms formed, but 7 hurricanes and only 2 major hurricanes formed. The season began on June 1, and ended on November 30. The first named storm, however, did not form until July 21, with the formation of Tropical Storm Anthony in the Caribbean Sea. The season ended slightly early, on November 8. The primary reason for a weaker season was a warm ENSO neutral phase in the Eastern Pacific, which approached the El Niño threshold at times. However, an El Niño did not truly form until the the following year.
