The 2005 Atlantic hurricane season officially began on June 1, 2005, and lasted until November 30, 2005. These dates conventionally delimit the period of each year when most tropical cyclones form in the Atlantic basin. The season was a record breaker. This was mainly because La Nina was present this year, this contributed into making 2005 among the most active Atlantic hurricane seasons ever.
